Revision is an utterly essential part of the writing process. In this five-week online workshop, you’ll develop the skills to revise your novel more effectively.

Each week we’ll use real-time discussions and examples from published novels to pinpoint the keys to compelling plot and structure; the nuances of memorable character development and dialogue; how to engage readers with voice and point of view; and must-know grammar and techniques to sharpen your prose. You’ll self-edit up to ten pages of your manuscript each week and will receive feedback and additional edits from your fellow writers and the instructor. By the end of the class, you’ll have a head start on making your manuscript the best it can be.

Caitlin Alexander has been editing books for more than fifteen years. She spent much of that time at Random House, where she acquired and edited New York Times bestsellers in fiction and nonfiction. She continues to edit bestselling and award-winning books through her editorial service (www.editedbycaitlin.com).
