Want to self-publish your book? It’s easy to do but hard to do well. The instructor of this class has helped several authors through the entire process, and over the course of these eleven weeks she’ll guide you through each step, from establishing your budget to finalizing your manuscript, comparing print and e-book distribution options, designing a cover, properly formatting your text, creating a marketing and publicity plan, and more. You’ll learn the best practices for every budget, from hiring experts to DIYing it and still achieving professional results. By the end of the course, you’ll have a published book or all the components needed to click “publish” on the date of your choosing.

The online option for this course will run simultaneously with the in-person option. You’ll interact with the instructor and your fellow writers via live video stream as well as an online discussion platform.

Caitlin Alexanderhas been editing books for more than fifteen years. She spent much of that time at Random House, where she acquired and edited New York Times bestsellers in fiction and nonfiction. She continues to edit bestselling and award-winning books as a freelance editor and can be found at editedbycaitlin.com.

Payment is required for your registration to be confirmed. If we don’t receive your payment within 48 hours of submission of this form, your registration will automatically be cancelled. You will have to complete the form again if you wish to register for the class.

Step 3 - Confirmation: Once we receive your payment, your registration will be finalized and confirmed with an email. Please keep this email for your records.  Details about room assignment, parking, and any other information relevant to the course will be emailed to registered students the week before classes begin.
