Sense of Place: When travel writing meets fiction. How setting is an important character in your story.

People love books because they are a way to visit foreign lands and travel to neighborhoods they have never experienced. More than descriptions of a house or building, setting elevates a story, takes readers on a journey with you, and invites them to explore places they may not know. Using the techniques of both travel writing and practical exercises on setting, this workshop will help you develop the perfect sense of place in your writing.
