Podcasting is a way for writers of all genres to reach a wider audience and build their platform. The popularity of audio books and the decline of the traditional broadcast media have teamed up to create a new market for consumers of stories of all sorts, from breaking news to campfire favorites. Learn how you can create and use podcasts to enhance your writing career, broadcast your message and maybe provide you with a new revenue stream.

This five session course will expose you to a variety of podcast styles and teach you how to write for the ear instead of the page. You will learn how to use your voice as an instrument, the proper placement of a microphone, and how to use basic computer software to record, edit and package your piece. At the end of this course you will have completed your first podcast. Bring your laptops.
