Online course
In this course we will use on-line multi-media resources, real-time meetings, and group work to inspire and guide you through the starting of your memoir. Initially we will write toward the discovery of the material of your story, then find and practice the elements of personal storytelling to maximize the potential of that story. We will learn the essentials of peer critique and use them during our weekly meetings on-line. Between class meetings, you will work with the on-line resources assembled for this class, and build your story scene by scene. By the end of this five-week program you will have a draft of the initial chapters of your memoir.
