It’s time. Before you lose the opportunity to ask the questions you always wanted to know and preserve the stories, images and memories that matter to you and your family. This introductory workshop will simplify the process, to help you distinguish what it is you want to say and how you can do it. You will learn how to interview family members, research and establish an overall style, to create a rich and detailed family history book that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Donna Zucker has 18 years of experience working for leading publishing houses including Time Inc. and Condé Nast.

As a senior writer and researcher with the custom publishing division of Time Inc., Donna creates print and online content for corporations as well as not-for-profit organizations. She has written biographies for noteworthy individuals and interviewed leaders in the field of health and medicine.

Throughout her career, Donna has worked independently with authors as a ghost writer, assisting with investigative research and developmental editing.

Donna’s academic background includes a MFA in non-fiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a degree in history from Syracuse University. She has roots in the nonprofit sector including three years working at Lincoln Center’s New York City Opera and ten years training as a classical pianist. She has also lived and traveled throughout the world.

In 2008, Donna founded Your Story Inc, working with clients to write family histories for private publication. Inspired by the people she met and the work she was doing, in 2014 Donna launched Story Guide. The mission of Story Guide is to help people around the globe tell their personal stories.
