Virtual Events

    Thank you for your interest in learning more about Sarah Lawrence College! Whether or not you are able to visit our campus in person, we hope we can bring a little bit of SLC directly to you. We offer two different kinds of live virtual events every week that are designed to work in tandem: a general introduction to the college and the opportunities our distinctive model affords to students; and, a student-led session designed to give you an insider’s glimpse into life and community at Sarah Lawrence. If you do both, you’ll have a pretty full introduction to our take on a liberal arts education! We also run a variety of specialized virtual events to supplement these two recurring and go more depth into areas that we know are of interest, so keep an eye out for those as well.

    Sarah Lawrence College: An Introduction
    (Mondays, Wednesdays)

    These information sessions, led by an admission staff member with current students on hand, are designed for prospective undergraduate students (with family members welcome to join), and will include:

    • An introduction to academics, research, and the arts at SLC;
    • Discussion of co-curricular opportunities such as internships, study abroad, fieldwork, and more;
    • Plenty of time for your questions in an interactive Q&A, where you can ask anything about the College or applying to SLC.

    Student Life and Community at SLC
    (Tuesdays, Thursdays)

    Who better to convey what it’s like to live and learn as a member of SLC’s community than students? A panel of our current students will lead you through:

    • A “mini virtual tour” of campus, and insight into what it’s like to live on a residential campus right next to New York City;
    • Sharing some of their own roles on campus, whether in student organizations, government, or advocacy within the community;
    • Opportunities in athletics, the arts, and more;
    • A Q&A moderated by an admissions counselor so you can ask about what’s important to you.

    International Student Life and Learning at SLC
    (Recurring montly; please check specific dates)

    For a college of 1,400 undergraduates, SLC has an impressive global network and community, welcoming students from over 50 countries and every continent (except Antarctica), who make up 10-12% of the student body. Reflecting our physical location next to New York City, SLC is home to so many different citizenships and backgrounds. But we also know that if you are considering Sarah Lawrence from a country outside of the U.S., you may have questions that might best be answered by our international admissions staff and current international students. We invite students from all around the world to join us for this information session geared specifically for students applying from international schools and regions.
